The Wedding Details at Poplar Hill

One of the things that I admire about Alexis and Zach’s wedding style is that they chose to forego the uber-matchy wedding trend. Instead, they opted for a more organic approach, choosing a variety of colors and elements that coordinated beautifully. “We wanted [the colors] to be not too summery but not too fall either, so we opted for a nice mix of the two.”

Says Alexis of her detail choices: “I wanted just simple and elegant without the price tag, so I bedazzled my dancing shoes and shopped on Amazon for a lot of my decorations!”

The lovebirds kept the color palette for attire simple, going with modern neutrals – sage green and deep navy – which complimented the pastoral wedding venue beautifully

I adored the gorgeous florals the couple chose. The simple neutral greenery and white color combination helped tie other whimsical wedding elements together.

Surrounded by family and friends, Alexis and Zach made their vows beneath a beautiful wooden arbor surrounded by lush trees and garden-style greenery. The sheer joy on the lovebirds’ faces as they saw each other for the first time spoke volumes about their love for one another. “I couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle,” says Alexis.

Alexis and Zach got to enjoy a lovely portrait session just the two of them between their ceremony and reception. I love how sweet these two are together. The way Zach looks at Alexis is the stuff of romance novels.

Alexis and Zach had the opportunity for a last dance together before their grand exit. I adored taking photos of this intimate moment where the bride and groom could revel in the final moments of their wedding day and reflect on all the love surrounding them. “The last dance was the probably the best part of the day,” says Alexis.
