You have inquired - yay! That means it's time for our initial meeting. I want to learn all about what you have planned so far (it might not be much and that okay). I also want to know how you two are as people, I mean let's be honest, we will be working together for a while and I want to get to know who you are. During our conversation we will talk about as many details as you would like and I will go over my process of wedding photography and how I can serve you on your big day. Generally speaking, EmmiClaire Photography clients can expect to receive an average of 100 images per hour of coverage. Images will include formal shots, candid moments, as well as portraits and detail shots.
How many photos will I receive?
Once we’ve had a chance to chat and get to know each other a bit, and you’re ready to take the plunge to book EmmiClaire Photography, I’ll send a contract and invoice for your review and signature. Payment of a non-refundable retainer will be due in order to reserve your date. The retainer amount is a percentage based on your total wedding package price.
What do I need to do to book EmmiClaire Photography?
I seize every opportunity I can to travel for business or leisure. So whether you’ve planned a destination wedding or are hosting your wedding outside of the Richmond Metro Area, I’m ready to make it work! Wedding FAQ'S
I personally edit every image in your digital gallery. However, I do not offer extreme retouching. Blemishes are edited on a case by case basis at my discretion. All edited images are delivered in JPEG format. I do not deliver raw images to my clients.
What type of editing services do you provide?
EmmiClaire Photography generally returns digital wedding galleries to clients within six weeks. I know it’s difficult to wait for your wedding gallery, so I do my best to provide a quick turnaround time. But it takes time to diligently edit each image for your viewing pleasure! Albums, prints, and other photo products may take up to 10 weeks to receive.
How long will it take to receive my wedding images?
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
If your wedding venue is within the Richmond Metro Area, chances are EmmiClaire Photography has had the privilege of photographing there. However, my clients can rest easy knowing that I work well with venues of all shapes and sizes. If I have not photographed your venue, I take the time to research the venue ahead of time and perform a detailed walkthrough (digitally or in person) in order to scout the best locations for your wedding photos!
Have you worked at/with my venue?
EmmiClaire Photography currently offers four distinct wedding packages. Packages are based on client needs, including but not limited to number of coverage hours, photographer travel time, and desired photo products. Each of EmmiClaire’s packages include the following: two photographers, an engagement session, personalized online gallery, access to high resolution images, and unlimited printing rights. If one of EmmiClaire’s current packages does not suit your specific needs, I’m happy to create a custom package for you!
How many/what kind of packages do you offer?
When a photographer is assigned the task of working from an extremely detailed shot list, (s)he can often miss those truly meaningful and candid precious moments. That’s why, in general, I prefer to work from a family portrait shot list only. However, if there’s something specific you’d like photographed, communicate that to me and I’ll do my best to make it happen!
Do you use a shot list?
Inclement weather is just one of the few hiccups that most wedding vendors deal with on a regular basis, and EmmiClaire Photography is no different. I will monitor the weather in the days leading up to your event and coordinate with your venue and wedding planner to determine the best locations for your photos. Rest assured that, barring a natural disaster, EmmiClaire Photographer works hard to ensure that we provide the very best experience and images possible regardless of the weather!
How do you handle inclement weather?
A second shooter is an additional photographer who agrees to work with your primary photographer to capture your wedding day. Each of EmmiClaire Photography’s current packages include a second shooter so you can rest assured that we capture ALL the images you could possibly want of your wedding day. What is a second shooter and what do they do?
Absolutely! Samples of EmmiClaire Photography’s work can be seen on Instagram, our website, and our blog. If you’re interested in seeing a full wedding gallery from start to finish, please contact me directly so I can send you a link to access a real client gallery.
Can I see samples of your work?
Wedding days rarely, if ever, go exactly as planned. Often, that means you may want to extend your photography coverage. If your wedding runs over your contracted amount of time, EmmiClaire Photography will ask if you’d like to extend. If you choose to extend, you will be charged the rate set out in your contract rounded to the closes 30 minute increment.
What happens if I exceed the time allotted for photography in my contract?
Every wedding is different, so there’s no one right answer to this question. However, I advise you book your photographer from the time you begin getting ready through the end of your reception, and add an hour just in case you’re running behind schedule.
