They each spent the morning getting ready surrounded by the people closest to them. There wasn’t any unnecessary rushing between locations or worrying about travel time. Instead, everyone had the opportunity to simply enjoy being together before the ceremony.

That also means we spend less time driving between portrait locations and more time enjoying the wedding day itself.

One of my favorite things about smaller weddings is watching couples actually experience their wedding day. They’re able to spend time with the people they intentionally invited instead of feeling pulled in every direction.

One of the things I appreciate most about Montfair Resort Farm is how naturally the entire day flows.

Guests move seamlessly from the ceremony into cocktail hour before gathering together for dinner, heartfelt toasts, and dancing, all without leaving the property. The venue allows every part of the celebration to feel connected while the surrounding mountains provide a beautiful backdrop from beginning to end.

As the evening continued, Emily and Brian’s reception was filled with laughter, emotional speeches, joyful dancing, and one last chance to step outside for portraits as the sun dipped behind the mountains.

Those quiet sunset moments have a way of becoming some of my favorite images from the entire day.
